Ultra-Small Neural Implants and Giant Pumpkins

Here is a good word.  Accretion.  It is a noun.  Growth or increase in size by gradual external addition, fusion, or inclusion.”  I seldom recall where I learned a word.  Accretion is an exception.  I was listening to Malachi Martin talk about one of his books, perhaps The Jesuits, that purports to be the behind-the-scenes story of the “new” worldwide Society of Jesus. “The leaders and the dupes; the blood and the pathos; the politics, the betrayals and the humiliations; the unheard-of alliances and compromises.”  Or maybe it was Windswept House, that describes a satanic ritual that took place at the Vatican in 1963, enthroning Lucifer in the papal seat.

In astrophysics, the word is used to describe an “accumulation of particles into a massive object by gravitationally attracting more matter, typically gaseous matter, into an accretion disk.”  According to the accretion model, “most astronomical objects, such as galaxies, stars, and planets, are formed by accretion processes.”

Malachi Martin spoke of accretion in an organization (or a mind) as something that was not good.  He used the illustration of barnacles on a boat, that must be periodically scraped from the vessel to ensure its integrity and ability to function.

Spooks or spies and the company we keep.

Martin was an interesting character, a compelling speaker whose critiques of modern culture were thought-provoking.  There are quite a few historians and researchers who believe that Father Martin (still a priest at the time of the Vatican II Council in the early 1960s) was on the payroll of the American Jewish Congress (AJC) to push an agenda of ecumenism and create a document absolving the Jewish people of the death of Christ.

“As we can see from Malachi Martin's own words, he was not merely a womanizer, liberal, spy, and con-man, but one of the most treacherous figures in the entire history of the Church, a hater of Christians and Christianity at its very core and an active destroyer of both.”  -- Author Maurice Pinay (A pen name.  Perhaps a collective of writers?)

One thing that Alan Watt has said publicly about Malachi Martin is that despite all that he had, or may have gotten “up to,” he had done more than most to instill a renewed interest in the supra or super-natural amongst the minds of ordinary people in a post-religious, atheized, materialist world.  Make of that what you will.

I wanted to return to the beginning of what I call the “The Year of Covid,” in part because as the distance grows between the here and now, and the first days of its unfolding, I have fought against “accretion.”  Theories, “conspiracies,” experts with narratives, truthers with counter-narratives, information, misinformation, disinformation, hyperbole and dross form on the Ship of Mind like barnacles and must be scraped off.

The first time that Alan mentioned what came to be called Covid-19 and SARS-CoV-2, was in his February 2, 2020 blurb:

A Perfect Storm:
"Chinese Travelling at New Year, Party and Song,
Happy Reunions then Fear, as it All Went Wrong."

© Alan Watt Feb. 2, 2020

From this talk, until his final blurb on February 28, 2021, Alan covered this with a growing sense of urgency (as seen in the increasing length of his talks.)  It was also clear to him within days of this exploding onto the Western press, that he was witnessing the type of event he had long warned about.

For this Redux 127, I chose the second talk that Alan gave as this amazing “Event” played out.

Waiting Game:

"Expert Advice Antiquated, Repeated, Expected,

Symptomless Spreaders Have Now Been Detected."

He talked about the use of fear for herd management and used as an example The Weather Channel.  They were set up there to terrify the public.  So, a little bit of drizzle could be possible flooding coming your way. Everything became a crisis. Utter nonsense, you know.  But that's how you do it, you terrify the public.  Through the data, it's information but it's data. Information doesn't mean true or untrue, it's just data, you see. And very often it is untrue. This whole thing about fake news is as old as the hills. We've been getting it our whole lives. And your parents before you, you know, were getting it their whole lives too.  Fake news.  Everything's fake, really, 'eh.”

Part of the accretion is clearly strategy.  Look below at the news links and see how immediately, we were being trained to track cases and deaths, and these statistics changed in real time.  How many of you recall looking at worldometer every day for death counts?  Data flew at us fast and furious.  If you were camped out in front of the television, it was Anthony Fauci or Neil Ferguson or the WHO’s Tedros Ghebreyesus.  If you liked political theatre then you could scream about Obama’s birthday bash in the midst of lockdown, or yell along with Donald Trump about the “China virus.”  Which was it, Donald?  Drinking bleach or waiting for your Operation Warp Speed to deliver salvation?

Was the virus something that mutated in nature and got loose in a wet market (that in itself a horror set piece to the Western mind) or was it created in a Chinese BSL-4 lab using gain-of-function technology, exported to China from a North Carolina, USA university, with special thanks to Tony Fauci and Ralph Baric?  Was there a novel or nouveau virus at all?  Do viruses even exist?

The Year of Covid, which in my mind became the global theatre production I call “Operation Covid,” had a cast of thousands, with many of the actors waiting in the wings right now for Act II.  Theatre buffs will see that the big name actor, Anthony “Tony” Fauci, has appeared in quite a few major productions over the years such as “H1N1” which when released in a theatre near you was retitled “Swine Flu,” because it made for better advertising posters.  Fauci has been a “go-to” thespian for so long now.  He was the writer-director of “The HIV Theory of AIDS” in which he also had a starring role.

When they bandied about names for this very scary production, some of Fauci’s suggestions were knocked down because the panel of experts wanted it to have a super-scientific ring to it, therefore it became “Covid-19 aka SARS-CoV-2.”  But in the end “Foxy” Fauci (as Alan dubbed him) got his way and the horror show was affectionately retitled “Trust the Science,” softened just a wee bit from his original “I AM the Science.”

In this talk, Alan read from an article entitled “U.S. charges three, including Harvard researcher, with lying about China ties. Alan said, “I mentioned it before, but I didn’t go into any depth with it.”  Then he began to read from the article.

(Reuters) – A Harvard University department chair and two Chinese nationals who were researchers at Boston University and a Boston hospital were charged on Tuesday with lying about their alleged links to the Chinese government.

Alan:  Now, this is an odd article, it’s an odd story. But it says…

The charges are part of an aggressive effort by U.S. authorities to block what they say are Chinese attempts to steal American scientific and technological advances.

Alan:  And China does this, it’s true, they’re famous for it, all kinds of technology, but including biochemical industry and all the rest of it too.

Continuing with the article:  Prosecutors charged Charles Lieber,

Alan:  Now, Charles Lieber is a big shot in the science world, in the bio science world. Because he’s into biology and nanotechnology, it’s quite fascinating really.

Article:  Charles Lieber, chair of Harvard University’s Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology,

Alan:  He was charged with…

Article:  lying about participating in China’s Thousand Talents Plan, which aims to attract research specialists working overseas.

Alan:  When you really dig into it too, this professor also was working with the Pentagon. You’re looking at… You can start to sniff where it’s all going, you know what I’m saying?  But when I read it, I thought, this guy, his big field is nanotechnology, including incredibly fine threads. Now, you tie that in with the articles just come out a couple of days ago on Elon Musk’s brain chips basically, his nanotechnology for the brain, using this incredibly fine nano wires basically. Well, this is what this guy works with, obviously. This was this guy’s area.

This was an odd story.  What we heard was that Lieber had spied, and groomed young Chinese scientists to spy.  What he was convicted for was two counts of lying to FBI agents and four counts of IRS fraud.  He was sentenced in 2023 and given “time served” in part because he has incurable lymphoma.

Charles Lieber is a chemist and for many years was the head of Harvard University’s Chemistry department.  He is considered a pioneer in nanoscience and nanotechnology, has published many hundreds of papers.  According to Wikipedia, “He is known for his contributions to the synthesis, assembly and characterization of nanoscale materials and nanodevices, the application of nanoelectronic devices in biology, and as a mentor to numerous leaders in nanoscience.  He is the principal inventor on over fifty issued US patents and applications.”

What was his arrest really about?  He carried suitcases full of U.S. dollars from China to the States, as well as routing money into a Chinese bank account.  He has been called a spy yet was never indicted as such.  Other scientists leapt to his defense and decried his arrest and indictment as “McCarthyism” and a witch hunt.  He was kept on the payroll of Harvard throughout his trial.  As Alan said, it’s an odd story.

Despite his illness, he is still working (or putting his name on papers.)  This is the title of a study published in Science July 20, 2023, “Ultra-Flexible Endovascular Probe Maps Deep-Brain Activity.  A new study presents a minimally invasive, ultra-flexible electronic neural implant, delivered via blood vessels, which records single-neuron activity in deep-brain regions, offering promising advancements for brain-machine interfaces and personalized neural therapies.

Introduction to Ultra-Small Neural Implants

A revolutionary ultra-small, ultra-flexible electronic neural implant has been developed that can record single-neuron activity deep within rat brains, as detailed in a new study.  Brain-machine interfaces (BMIs) facilitate direct electrical communication between the brain and external electronic systems. These devices allow brain activity to directly control objects like prostheses, or modulate nerve or muscle function, thus aiding individuals with paralysis or neurological disorders to regain function.  However, the majority of conventional BMIs are only able to measure neural activity at the brain’s surface. In order to record single-neuron activity from deeper brain regions, invasive intracranial surgery is often necessary to implant probes. Such procedures can lead to complications including infection, inflammation, and damage to brain tissues.”

An initial reading of the article could leave one with ideas about sinister applications.  But the article does point out that an advancement like this will allow individuals with paralysis to directly control objects.  Whew!  No military applications to worry about.

There’s also this about Charles Lieber from Wiki, “Since 2007 Lieber has grown giant pumpkins in his front and back yards in Lexington, Massachusetts. In 2010 he won the annual weigh-off at Frerich's Farm in Rhode Island with a 1,610-lb pumpkin and returned in 2012 with a 1,770-lb pumpkin that won 2nd place in that year's weigh-off but set a Massachusetts record. His 1,870-lb pumpkin in 2014 was named the largest pumpkin in Massachusetts and ranked 17th largest in the world that year. In 2020, the year of his arrest, he grew a 2,276-lb pumpkin that currently holds the record for the largest ever grown in Massachusetts.

An amazing piece of PR for just one player in our cast of thousands.  Boston Magazine both exploits and downplays the espionage, “The Indicted Harvard Professor’s Other Double Life: Pumpkins.”     He works in the world of the really, very, super-tiny, but what a massive hobby he has!
